The orchestra will begin its next 50 years in October with some changes. Cancer survivor revives creative dance company In 2004, under the leadership of Riverside City College Dance professor Sofia Carreras, Intersect Dance Theatre was formed. Several choreographers and instructors from all over Southern California gathered for the project, which combined classic ballet and modern dance, as well as professional and nonprofessional students.
Then Carreras was diagnosed with breast cancer and she had to pull out of the project.
Temecula musicians center gets grant The Musicians Workshop in Temecula has received a $25,000 grant from the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians.
