San Francisco filmmakers Joe and Steve Greenberg return to their hometown of Temecula to screen their short film, "Sexual Tension: The Super Adventures of Steve and Stephen," during the Temecula Valley International Film Festival. The screening will be at The Movie Experience at Tower Plaza on Thursday, Sept. 10 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 12 at 3 p.m.
The film, written and directed by brothers Steve and Joe Greenberg, follows Steve and Stephen, a pair of renegade vigilantes, as they use their sexually-charged kung-fu tactics to take down a new, arousal-inducing drug known as Booche. Winner of Best Comedy Scene at the 2009 Action on Film Festival, "Sexual Tension" uses a television show format to parody conventions common in action films.
The Greenberg brothers grew up in Temecula and return for the first time since 2003. They left for San Francisco to attend film school. "This is so cool," Joe Greenberg said, "we grew up going to this theater an dused to sneak in to movies all the time. Now our film is on the big screen."
