"Twilight" fans are being asked to get in a vampire frame of mind and share some blood Nov. 20 at the Redlands Cinema 14 Krikorian Theater.

The theater has teamed up with Redlands Community Hospital and LifeStream blood banks for the "New Moon" blood drive from 2-7 p.m.

"New Moon," the second movie in the "Twilight" series, based on the Stephenie Meyer book series, opens in theaters nationwide Nov. 20.

The Redlands Cinema 14 Krikorian Theater is hosting a special midnight screening Thursday night, which has already sold more than 1,000 tickets, said Nikki Kealalio, director of marketing with Krikorian Premiere Theatres. "But, tickets are still available to see it first."

Redlands Community Hospital and LifeStream blood banks are asking the swarms of "New Moon" fans expected to show up Friday to give blood at the event.

Donors will receive a free movie ticket and T-shirt, courtesy of Summit Entertainment, while supplies last. Donors must be at least 15 years old, and those who are 15 or 16 years of age must have a signed LifeStream parental consent form.

For more information on donor requirements, call 800-879-4484.
