The Rancho Cucamonga Community Foundation has received a $25,000 grant to support arts programming at the Lewis Family Playhouse at the Victoria Gardens Cultural Center.
According to the foundation, funding will be used to provide tickets for select performances at the playhouse to underserved members of the community. The foundation, which was established in 1987, raises funds annually to support arts programs at the playhouse, in an effort to reinforce the importance of arts in ‘maintaining a high quality of life in Rancho Cucamonga,’ according to a press release.
The foundation will distribute tickets for 2010 performances of The State Street Ballet Production of 'The Jungle Book' in January; Main Street Theatre Company and Theatre for Young Audience productions of 'Cinderella' in February and 'Treasure Island' in May; The Rancho Cucamonga Community Theatre production of 'Grease' in April; and 'The Golden Dragon Acrobats' in April.
