Luxury mattress maker E.S. Kluft stays in his comfort zone
It sounds counterintuitive in this economy, but E.S. Kluft & Co. is actually seeing sales increase for the luxury mattresses it makes by hand at its Rancho Cucamonga factory, some of which sell at retail for up to $33,000.

The privately held company expects sales in 2009 to reach nearly $35 million, about 5 percent more than 2008, said its founder and owner, Earl S. Kluft.

Corona's Farley appointed to chairman of "Green Initiative"

La Verne professor recieves NIH grant
University of La Verne Associate Professor Christine Broussard recently received a $203,538 grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in recognition of the ongoing research on potentially harmful chemicals found in plastic containers. The award is the university’s first federal biomedical research grant.
Chemicals within plastic containers such as water bottles, baby bottles and food receptacles and the health risks they pose have become a major concern of both the medical community and the public at large. This potential hazard is the focus of Broussard’s research.

Outdoor Channel Holdings Inc. has reworked employment agreements with three of the Temecula-based cable TV outlet's top executives, according to documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
